Poker has become globally famous recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the bank rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the dealer declares "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the bank and of course every one of the other gamblers acquire five cards. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s amount is equal to your beginning wager, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your wager goes instantaneously to the house. After the bet comes the showdown. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, plus a sum on par with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays out chips equal to your ante and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
