Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha/8 or better) is commonly seen as one of the most difficult but well-loved poker games. It’s a game that, even more than regular Omaha poker, invites play from all levels of players. This is the main reason why a once invisible game, has increased in acceptance so quickly.
Omaha 8 or better begins like a regular game of Omaha. Four cards are handed out to every player. A sequence of betting follows in which players can wager, check, or fold. Three cards are given out, this is known as the flop. One more sequence of betting ensues. Once all the gamblers have in turn called or dropped out, a further card is revealed on the turn. a further round of wagering happens at which point the river card is revealed. The gamblers must attempt to make the strongest high and low 5 card hands based on the board and hole cards.

When there’s no lower hand available, the high hand wins the whole pot.
