Internet poker has become world famous as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the house instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players receive 5 cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you have to either make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s value is akin to your original ante, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your wager goes directly to the house. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with a figure equal to the initial bet. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The dealer pony’s up money equal to your ante and controlled expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
